It was for a poster design competition of Kikkoman table soy sauce bottle’s 50th anniversary campaign. The points of the bottle design are not only its functionality, but also producing elegant visual effects on human hands by using the bottle. My main ideas for the poster design were showing the unique bottle shape with a human hand, using modern typefaces, and placing Japanese traditional Washi paper for the background. I asked my friend to pour soy sauce using the bottle for taking photos. I took many photos to find out how I could show the elegance of pouring soy sauce by the bottle with woman’s hand. That was challenging, but some photos came out well with nice shape of falling soy sauce.
